An Alms giving will be held on the 12th of this month
to commemorate the second death anniversary of former Foreign Minister
Lakshman Kadirgamar at the Lakshman Kadirgarmar International Institute
of International Relations and Strategic Studies. - It is organised on the instructions of Minister of
Foreign Affairs Rohitha Bogollagama with his private funds, with the
participation of the Board of Directors of the Lakshman Kadirgamar
International Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies
Many Tamil intellectuals and main stream Tamil
political leaders were assassinated by the terror outfit accusing them
of collaborating with the SL government for seeking peaceful solutions
to the internal disturbance situation in the island.
The graceful Sri Lankan diplomat and former Foreign
Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar was assassinated by the LTTE terrorists on
12th August, 2005. TNA Jaffna parliamentarian Nataraja Raviraj and Tamil
intellectual Keetheshwaran Loganathan was also gruesomely murdered by
the LTTE assassins respectively on 08th and 12th August last year.
These Tamil leaders were killed because they were
perceived as pro-India and Tamils who did not care threats of the LTTE.
Moreover, both LTTE chief Prabakaran and his deputy,
Pottu Amman, are proclaimed offenders wanted under Indian criminal law
for the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi.--comments-->4--217--5
